Internal Choreography is a set of drawings that investigates how social conventions inform the individual person’s perception of the body. It looks for ways to rethink and more importantly re- feel the body. The work marries line-drawings from different traditions with short texts. It draws inspiration from Western medicine, somatic dance practic- es, traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine and other alternative medicine traditions. In the work, the artist draws from his experiences of creating music with his brainwaves in the per- formance collective 1+1=3 that he has been involved in since 2013.
Per Hüttner is a Swedish visual artist who lives and works in Paris, France and in Stockholm, Sweden. He graduated from Konsthögskolan in Stockholm 1993. He also studied at Hochschule der Künste in Berlin 1991-1992. He is mostly known for his photographic work and for his interactive, changing and travelling exhibition projects. A number of monographs about his practice has been published including Per Hüttner, 2003; I am a Curator, 2004; Repetitive Time 2006, Xiao Yao You 2006 and Democracy and Desire 2007.
